DS216 is equipped with an encryption engine which offloads encryption calculation tasks away from the main CPU. Thus, the CPU can be free for other important tasks. DS216, compared with its predecessor DS214, has a 50% increase in encryption reading speed and an over 110% increase in encryption writing speed.
